Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, and improvements of packaging machinery in the Mozzarella production and packaging areas. The role requires advanced technical skills and the ability to maintain and troubleshoot complex machinery to ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced skill tasks in at least three primary maintenance functions, including electricity, electronics/PLC, plumbing, mechanical, machine shop, millwright, welding, boilers, refrigeration, and pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Demonstrate intermediate skill performance in the remaining primary maintenance functions.
• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machinery issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential mechanical and electrical issues.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient maintenance support.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports using Maximo and other software tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Advanced proficiency in at least three primary maintenance functions (electricity, electronics/PLC, plumbing, mechanical, machine shop, millwright, welding, boilers, refrigeration, pneumatics/hydraulics).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
