DC Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the plant's human resources functions, including employee engagement, onboarding, compliance, and reporting. The role involves collaborating with the HR team to ensure alignment with company goals and values while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work culture.
• Draft and distribute internal HR communications and announcements.
• Facilitate new employee orientation and oversee the onboarding process, including processing paperwork and background screens.
• Conduct new hire check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews; track feedback and report findings.
• Administer leave of absence (LOA) and benefits programs as needed.
• Manage payroll and timekeeping records on a weekly basis.
• Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and direct sourcing.
• Ensure accurate HR program reporting and compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate compliance training to achieve 100% completion.
• Oversee the Lactalis American Group Intern program, providing support and tracking progress.
• Respond to employee inquiries, provide clarification on policies, and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare HR reports and conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain employee records and provide administrative support to the HR team.
• Engage with employees through regular office and floor visits to build relationships and address concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing or plant setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, including compliance, benefits, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
