Job Summary of Assistant Management Apprentice:

A Assistant Management Apprentice is a leadership development role designed to prepare individuals for a managerial position. This role involves hands-on training in various aspects of business operations, customer service, team leadership, and financial management.

Qualifications for Assistant Management Apprentice:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience in retail sales preferred. Experience to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the conditions described below.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) job description.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR and ASM job description.
  • Ability to use computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site, which includes analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English. Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by his/her supervisor.

Responsibilities for Assistant Management Apprentice:

  • Utilize leadership and management skills to enlist, select, and educate enthusiastic employees who prioritize outstanding customer support.
  • Implement task allocation strategies to preserve a well-maintained and orderly site that meets the Company's standards while projecting a positive and professional image to both employees and managers.
  • Organize employee shifts in accordance with Company policies to optimize customer service levels and preserve the site's reputation.
  • Employ fair-minded management strategies when engaging in the processes of hiring, educating, guiding, inspiring, and parting ways with employees.
  • Foster strong, constructive relationships with all suppliers to encourage collaboration and mutual success. Advocate for exceptional service delivery and handle customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Foster and maintain a constructive and protected reputation in the surrounding community.
  • Continuously prepare and deliver written performance assessments for employees, ensuring feedback is based on their actual performance.
  • Provide training to all employees to meet the Company's standards for customer service, site presentation, and the implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Implement methods to guarantee timely and effective communication for all employees.
  • Develop and assess concrete strategies to meet site demands and accomplish set goals. Manage and uphold all site records and handbooks proficiently.
  • Supervise and manage store personnel to ensure punctual and precise submission of all required reports and tasks. Monitor and oversee store employees to maintain well-stocked, visually appealing merchandise with correct pricing.
  • It is essential to have all mandatory labor-related posters and notices readily available for all employees to see and access.
  • Review daily sales and expense data to identify opportunities for increasing sales and maximizing net income.
  • Develop financial forecasts for income and expenses while also monitoring and optimizing profit margins on goods.
  • Maintain the security and record-keeping of all incoming and outgoing funds. Carry out any financial assessments required to optimize sales and overall profits.

Working Conditions for Assistant Management Apprentice:

  • The work primarily takes place indoors, although outdoor responsibilities like maintaining cleanliness in parking lots and garbage disposal are also part of the job.
  • Be exposed to occasional cold temperature extremes while supervising or managing store employees performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
  • Operate with little guidance and oversight.
  • Be consistently effective in your capacity as a manager, supervisor, and leader.
